Liz Scully is a Business and Mastermind Coach with Rethink Central.   She had a background in film, and spent 20 years in the industry.  She worked in the post production, and was running a team of people.  What she discovered it wasn’t so much about management, but more of problem solving.

After 20 years, and really long hours, she discovered that she just couldn’t do it anymore.  She decided to set-up a business that would bring in another revenue stream, and slowly work into that.

She started Re-think retreats, which was like a yoga retreat.  She initially discovered great venues and wonderful coaches, and trained as a coach herself so she could hire people.  As she did this, it wasn’t filling up with people, she decided to learn more about internet marketing.

She has found that when most entrepreneurs hit a problem, they stop.  In film they learned that there’s always going to be a problem, but you just...

47 - Tip Tuesday - Utilizing Keywords with Jayne Rios

Jayne Rios of Express Yourself E-learning, Jayne has been creating websites since 1996.  Back then she would use meta-tags and utilize keywords.  It’s still how Google finds you, however, the technology has changed.

She started really getting involved in Internet Marketing, which is all about utilizing keywords.  She’s been helping others do this for five years now.

What does it mean to utilize and how do I do that?  A keyword can be anything like a topic, or just a term.  Whenever you go into Google, you type in what you want to find.  Essentially, that’s your keyword.  When you type that into a search engine, it goes out for all the websites are out there and looks for that exact term that someone typed in.  They look for that in their content, page title, and their headlines.

So when that person searches that list of Google comes up, those are matching what the person searched for versus what’s on...

How I Manifested Oprah Into My Life

I wrote this as a newsletter just a few days ago, and it received such an amazing response, that I thought I would put it here for everyone else to read.  A true moment in my life that I will never forget, and a lesson learned!

I read 'The Secret' several years ago, and that's when I was first introduced to vision boards.  I believed in them a little, but after having one vision board promoting a strong marriage, and a divorce later, I kind of gave up on them.

This year that changed.  I've made no bones about the fact that I'm dreaming big.  That I want to see this business build quickly, and I have dreams of vineyards and rottie rescues galore.  So as I started to put together my plan of walking away from Corporate America and living the life that I dreamed of, I felt it was time again to make a vision board.

And since I've always dreamed of meeting Oprah and being on her show.  Here's a picture I threw together with Photoshop and put on...

44 - Kathy Stowell of Bliss Beyond Naptime

Kathy Stowell is the 'Founder and Chief Midwife' of Mama Bliss Coaching School and The Bliss Beyond Naptime Podcast, and she's all about helping MOMpreneurs find their purpose and get their start in business.

What gave you the idea to help other mom’s start their own business? Kathy’s creative juices began to flow quite by accident. She sought the help of a family acupuncturist for a “deep wound cleaning” to help heal past familial issues in order become the healthiest version of herself both emotionally and physically as she prepared for her upcoming marriage and eventual motherhood.

Kathy’s acupuncturist encouraged her to express herself creatively every day and thus began her journey of healing, evolving and helping others. Admittedly, this exercise turned he into a “creative monster” as she began painting, sewing, knitting etc. and eventually starting a blog to document her crafting.

After she and her...

43 - Tip Tuesday - Automating Your Business With Christian Psencik

Christian is an IT person by trade, and he loves technology, and after starting his own business, he was finding that there wasn’t enough of him to go around.  So he started to set-up his own automated systems.  In his own words, he likes to have ‘the internet robots go and do his bidding’.  Christian had an ‘ah-ha’ moment when he found out that some of his systems were what a lot of other entrepreneurs were paying their VA’s to do.

What’s the first tool that you would recommend?  One of the most flexible and basic tools is a tool called If This Then That.  It allows you to connect two internet systems together, so for example, Evernote and Dropbox or Twitter and Facebook.

One thing Christian does is instead of writing down all of his ideas.  He has an If This, Then That rule set-up where if he comes up with an idea, he tells ‘Siri’, and then she adds it to the end of a specific note in...

Tracy Matthews is the owner of Tracy Matthews Custom Jewelry, and the co-founder of Flourish & Thrive Academy.   Tracy started designing jewelry when she was about 21.  After taking a class, she realized that it was her purpose and passion to create jewelry in the world.

She worked retail in college and learned the sales side and expertise.  Then she was selling some her own jewelry to her friends

Right at the end of her business, she was able to custom design an engagement ring.  She really loved the opportunity and that lead to another referral, and to another referral.    She then started working 1:1 with...

Are You Losing Out On Free Money?

I need someone to explain the latest phenomenon to me.  This whole, I need to get you off my email list, if you're not reading it consistently, thing.  I just don't get it.

I recently had John Lee Dumas (www.entrepreneuronfire.com) email me pretty incessantly asking me why I wasn't opening emails, and if I even really wanted to be on his list.  Then more emails about why I wasn't reading the ones asking me why I wasn't reading the other ones.  I have to admit that I was pretty annoyed, and if I hadn't been at a stop light when I read a few, I would have unsubscribed immediately.

Lucky for him, I was multitasking that day because I forgot about it when I got home.  Two months later I saw his Mastermind group offer, and I handed him $600 of my money (with potentially more to come).

Actually, let me just throw out a number:  $3100

That's how much money I have spent by seeing offers from emails I typically never read, in just the past six months.  You...

41 - Tip Tuesday - How To Create a Launch Strategy That Sells with Farideh Ceaser

Farideh Ceaser is a musician and a launch strategist.  Farideh was a musician for 15 years, and she had a successful career.  She lived in a remote part of Canada, and had to do everything herself, like finding the money for her tours, promoting it, and working to find fans.  There ended up being things that really became way too physically demanding for her, and she had to take a look at her lifestyle.  She got engaged and the thought of having kids while touring, just didn’t seem appealing.

She loved writing the marketing plans so much, that she ended up really teaching other entrepreneurs to launch their products successfully.  She loves finding ways to help people think outside of the box when it comes to a launch strategy.

What is a launch?  Launching is releasing a product, and you’re launching it into the world, and you’re essentially creating buzz around it.  It’s not available all the time, or there is...
